The history in this play is fascinating and all-too relevant. In ten minutes, Sanchez manages to say so much about the treatment of women in male-dominated spaces and the compromises they're forced to make if they want to stay in the game. There are no easy solutions offered here, but there is a way forward through solidarity.

1. Milicent Patrick- 30s, any ethnicity/race. The artist who created the original design for the Creature from the Black Lagoon. She’s forced to give the credit to makeup artist Bud Westmore. She’s an elegant, creative woman with a sharp sense of style (and humor).
2. Bernard Wright- 30s/40s, any ethnicity/race. The publicity director at Universal. He’s an organized, but nervous man who doesn’t like to rock the boat.
3. Nancy- 20s, any ethnicity/race. Bernard’s assistant. She says whatever she’s thinking, even if it challenges the status quo. She’s in awe of Milicent Patrick.
