What a wonderful, deeply moving and engaging look into family dynamics of the Leyendecker brothers, and their Art, family dynamics, and love. It casts a light on the image of perfection, and the demons they wrestle with, as they walk a tightrope of expectations, with a real tightrope walker guiding. Creative, spectacular, and heart wrenching real.

In The Lesser Leyendecker, Arianna Rose gives us a beautiful and devastating exploration of identity as performance. While creating the image of 'the perfect man,' Frank and Joe's lives were a precarious high-wire act where they were forced to hide their true selves. There's so much to love here, but the literal tightrope walker is a theatrical gut-punch of a metaphor for a family trying not to fall. Heartbreaking and truly unique.

There’s something awe inspiring about the meticulous care with which Arianna Rose has constructed The Lesser Leyendecker. A pronged and poignant bio-drama with theatrical flourish, this play demonstrates a visionary talent for taking the facts of historical record and imbuing them with the heart and magic they deserve. An excellent feat of stage craft, I can’t wait to see where this play goes next.
