This Walden is about the first person to live (alone) on the moon, who is an 18 year old woman named H. H gets video visits from her teenage pals back home, but H's ties to earth and humanity are fading more and more as she spends time alone. Well, actually, she is not alone. She's kept company by an artificial intelligence system that she names Larry Bird. Larry Bird (LB) is quickly evolving and together, LB and H explore what it means to be human when humans keep screwing everything up. Commissioned by The Alliance in Atlanta, this play examines social justice, climate change and what it means to be a young adult today.

A fascinating "what if" that tackles AI, family ties, the challenges of friendship, loneliness, isolation, and community. I read this play with a group who have grandchildren the same age as most of these characters and they LOVED it an identified with the characters! A great play with the potential audience of multiple generations.
