Claire Detloff has written what would be a fun piece for two actors. Set in the lounge of a college dorm, two college students come inside to escape the rain. They talk, but their conversation is much more about what they're not saying than about what they are saying and we are left wondering what will happen next. Give this one a read.

A simple scenario with so much subtext for actors to work with. Great use of setting and costumes to tell this short story. Loved the repeating pieces of dialogue. Loved the creative use of metaphor. Definitely a fun piece to work on for a short play festival or scene study class.
