Darkly hilarious, The Leader goes from "long-shot to the lesser of two evils to the only choice to it really not mattering" in this sharp monologue. The frightening foreshadowing of an actual future make it timely and intelligent. You know you probably should be laughing but it's hard not to.

A great monologue that would be a dream role for any actor. Regardless of what your politics are or where you lean political, there will be plenty within this piece to make you laugh, nod along, or both. Relevant now, for the future, and pretty much for any election cycle. Excellent from beginning to end. Well done!
