Set in England in 1877, Trouble Deaf Heaven is the story of Mary Amelia, a young woman employed as a domestic worker by a doctor and his wife. As Mary Amelia learns more about the family she works for, she uncovers dangerous medical practices and startling secrets. Things are not as they seem... but neither is our heroine.
