Jewish Plays Project selected QUEER FOR THE SHABBAT BRIDE as a Semi-Finalist out of 270 plays in our 2nd Ten Minute Play Contest “On One Foot”, which searched nationally from artists of all backgrounds to respond to our prompt “Moving Forward at the Edge of the Unknown”. Our readers connected with this portrait of an interfaith lesbian couple and embodies the kind of Jewish life we wish to see more of in the theatre, and does not offer easy solutions with points of tension.
