Shelly and George have an unexpected guest when Death, in human form, invites himself to their 4th of July barbecue. How could they say no? How could they not be terrified? The reason for the visit, however, is unclear, perhaps not part of His normal routine. What ensues could definitely be categorized as fireworks – confusion, mistrust, drama … even romance. In the tradition of literary musings about Death interacting with those He will eventually summon, this absurd little exercise might offer some laughs when dealing with mortality. After all, shouldn’t we have a sense of humor about this ultimatum?
