SEEKING DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES
FULL LENGTH: Edith Thompson's world turns upside down a week before her postulancy ends and her novitiate life begins. Fourteen-year-old orphan Kasia has vanished from the Chicago cottage orphanage Edith helps manage under Jack Douglas, the priest newly-appointed to oversee the facility. Siân, the orphanage’s seamstress, and Brynn, a stubborn and fiery child hellbent on defying authority, urge Edith to closely monitor Jack, but the result has dire consequences. When Kasia’s horrifying fate is revealed, Edith is faced with a choice: to proceed with her vows to the Church, or to seek answers knowing she may risk her safety, and the safety of others, to do so.
