Brian has written a great short play that succeeds in peering into the minds of two theatre archetypes: the boorish audience members, and their actor friend who must put up with them. You actually get to empathize with the disruptors, because they truly want their actor buddy to succeed. They just have some difficulty expressing their appreciation. Very funny, very recognizable.

Charming to see these two support their friend in his endeavors, and it's very funny, so I'll try to let go of the innate twitchiness of thinking of being seated near these two chuckleheads in a theater. However, these days, we'll take ANY kind of enthusiasm when it comes to theater. Right? The usual funny stuff from Mister Cern... enjoyable as always.

A beautifully crafted bit of meta-comedy, as well as a delightful depiction of male friendship. As fun to read as it would be to see in person.
