This modern adaptation of the Medea myth begins after the major events everyone thinks in connection with Medea, which makes sense as this is a sequel to Max Pinsky's previous play La Medea. Max reimagines the tragic Medea as a vuduista adding new layers of meaning to this powerful story. This multiligual play has a sassy chorus and builds tension to an action packed finish. It is good to see a modern take on the genre of tragedy, and has many strong roles for Latinx and Afro-Latinx artists.
