Vulture Girl knows what she want, and if her mom knows what's good for her, she'll listen. I know firsthand what is like to have a smart child who knows what she wants to be for Halloween and Asher completely nails the character and the attitude. This would be a joy to see on stage. Plus I want to see the vulture costume!

    Bravo!

Vulture girl has certainly put some thought into her costume selection. What it represents to her is as important as what it rejects. There is a manic edge to her embrace of vulture behavior that speaks to the difficulty of establishing an independent identity at her age. She wheedles and negotiates to be allowed her choice of costume, but ultimately she just is vulture girl incarnate.

I really enjoyed reading this delightful monologue about a girl who refuses to dress up as a stereotypical model of femininity. I can just see her extending her talons as she sinks her teeth into her prey. A great role for a young girl just in time for Halloween!
