"Teens and their teachers deserve imaginative, 25-40-minute, large-and/or-flexibly-cast one-acts that work for high school competitions. These contemporary plays (most written by BIPOC and/or marginalized-gender playwrights) give teens space to show off their creativity, intelligence, and passionate desire for a better world, and they give your company a great shot at your state's one-act competition. I was inspired to create this list because as both a former teacher and a playwright currently sending my publishers' perusal script links to a billion teachers, I know the teen theater world is hungry for new material and a centralized place to locate it. I'm so thankful to my fellow playwrights for creating this work and allowing me to share it on this platform. Please reach out to them to inquire about performance rights!"—playwright Laura Neill
