Our authors have been produced on Broadway and Off, in London’s West End, and in theaters across the United States and around the world. They have won Nobel Prizes, Pulitzer Prizes, Tony Awards, Obie Awards, the MacArthur Genius Grant, Guggenheim Fellowships, and National Endowment for the Arts grants.

We are enthusiastic consumers of NPX's bi-weekly themed lists of plays. Through these lists, in the last two years, BPPI has become familiar with, and then published Tiffany Antone (Sci-Fi plays), Franky D Gonzalez (plays about The Borderlands), Tom Hoefner (plays about Nerds), Greg Lam (Untapped Potential), Erin Lerch (Dystopian plays), Erin Mallon (Parent Playwrights), Jenny Stafford (NNPN Showcase), and Stephanie Alison Walker (NNPN Showcase).

BPPI welcomes playwrights to directly submit full-length plays that are contemporary in their subject matter at:

  • I read this play from the list of Scripts That Center Characters with Disabilities by BIPOC Writers. It reminded me a lot of Edwin Sánchez's work, a high compliment. It has not been produced, and definitely should be.

  • I read this plays because it was on the NPX "State Approved" list, and really liked it. "Intergalacic relocation project" applicants who are in a "queerplatonic relationship" says it all.
