I retired on June 30, 2023 from New Jersey Institute of Technology. We are an academic Program at NJIT that teaches Applied Theatre techniques. Our sister collaboration with Rutgers University- Newark Theatre Program is standing and active. We encourage double majors at NJIT with THAT as a second major. The hard and soft skills taught in theatre are applied to the primary major after graduation. We work with Improvisational Theatre skills, produce three to four shows per academic year, produce the Newark Playwrights Festival, and encourage the production of original plays. We work with students in STEM and Design fields of study.
