Palaver Tree began in 2006, in New York, NY with approximately 30 actors, writers, and directors in search of a way to develop and promote their own artistic works. The company arrived in Wakulla County, Florida in 2010, with a strong belief that all people, regardless of cultural or economic backgrounds, should have the opportunity to see and participate in community-based artistic endeavors that reflect the American experience.
Palaver Tree gained non-profit 501(c)(3) status in September 2011. It took over five(5) years to build their flagship location for the company, and an additional 3 more years to get the facility up and running at 59 Shadeville Road, in Crawfordville, Florida.
