I knew as soon as I read Cuckoo Clock that it would be so much fun, and that I had to direct it for my final play festival at my college. It takes the average first date story out of the norm by placing it in a German Restaurant with characters taking a first date to the extreme. If you’re looking for something with loads of comedy, very entertaining characters, a bunch of innuendos, and tons of fun movement and action, this play is what you are looking for.

This play is the epitome of a thriller with dark and comedic elements. I see it as being highly successful on this forefront. The thriller elements are very tight, suspenseful, and unnerving. The comedic elements are very darkly funny, very clever, imaginatively shocking and subtly uneasy. The social commentary and interracial themes explored are so relevant, and they are done thoughtfully. It does a great job avoiding preacher-like effects and does not skimp on telling of the true harsh realities. This play is excellent and was amazing to be able to bring to life on stage.
