Orlando Shakes has a new play festival in early November called PlayFest. Recent playwrights include Israel Horovitz, Mark St. Germain, Ellen McLaughlin, Donnetta Lavinia Grays, Meridith Friedman, Jacqueline Goldfinger, Eric Hissom, and Lauren Gunderson to name just a few. Keynote speakers have included: Philip Seymour Hoffman, Olympia Dukakis, Teresa Rebeck, Robert Schenkkan, and more. We look for bold new plays with strong original voices.
