Florida Rep's PlayLab Festival began in 2014 and has produced 42 readings and led to eight regional or world premiere productions - including NNPN Rolling World Premieres of Alabaster by Audrey Cefaly and Doublewide by Stephen Spotswood, as well as plays by Mark Shanahan, Mark St. Germain, Daryl Lisa Fazio, Bennett Fisher, and commissioned works by Christopher T. Parks and Michelle Tyrene Johnson. Performing in the Historic Arcade Theatre and ArtStage Studio Theatre, Florida Rep produces a wide variety of comedies, dramas and musicals, and now new works and an annual play reading festival. Florida Rep brings more than 95,000 people to the Fort Myers River District annually throughout its September to May season.
