Taproot Theatre Company was founded in 1976 by six friends, five of them graduates from Seattle Pacific University. From its beginnings as a small touring ensemble, the company has grown into a professional mid-size theatre based in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Today, Taproot Theatre reaches over 160,000 people annually with a mission to "tell stories of hope, serving the Pacific Northwest through live theatre and educational programs."
