Next Iteration Ensemble (NIE) strives to pay a living wage to our creatives while becoming Houston's showcase for intercultural and underrepresented voices as we produce relevant, thought-provoking theater.

As a company we produce a biannual ReadFest of new work staged readings and also an Annual Intercultural Play Reading Series to bring new work, including award winning and new voices, to the stage. We have produced workshop productions of Obie Award Winning playwrights, premiered new works as well. Our Artistic Director reads playwrights of all career stages often offering feedback and opportunities to further develop work in the various stages of production all the way to premiers. We were previously know as Next Iteration Theater Co.
