The Fortune Teller

Singlewoman Gudruna (Guh-DROO-nuh) – forties/fifties/sixties - fortune teller; a striking woman, very confident and articulate; a hint of an accent; getting bored with what she’s doing and bored by the locals. Too clear-eyed for her station in life, a frustration that sometimes burbles out.

Miss Aggie – late teens/early twenties; comes across as a wide-eyed naïf; folks tend to want to take care of her; her anger flares when she remembers being wronged.

Master Caeb (SEEB) – thirties/forties/fifties -- the local watchman; an appointed peacekeeper, very serious about what's good for the kingdom.

Master Barthleme Screwfix (BAR-tull-mee) - fifties/sixties/seventies - one of Gudruna's neighbors, a rugmaker. He's a trifle unfocused, and a bit set in the way of things; has real concern and love for the kingdom.
