Can a man truly change? Is change a requirement for forgiveness?

Retiree Jack and Lisa, a woman in her late 20s, meet “coincidentally” in a park one Wednesday. Over a series of weekly meet-ups, they bond through their mutual love of literature (although Lisa cannot bring herself to read anything anymore but trashy romances). Jack becomes a friend and confidant, and Lisa trusts him with the story of the abuse she escaped – until Lisa discovers Jack’s own dark past and his friendship’s questionable motives. Lana visits the same park over a series of weeks, 30 years in the past. Through her conversations with her unborn child, she fights to save her troubled marriage to Jack. She eventually discovers she can only save herself.
