The Queen has quit with no explanation and no replacement. In desperation, Dan, the artistic director of the Ren Faire, must navigate a web of sexual and professional politics to find her replacement before the following weekend. Once he sets his eyes on the new hire, Mary, a chain of events surrounding Nikki, the head wench, is set in motion.

A play with music, interspersed with "on the street" scenes, the play discusses marriage, parenthood, and women's ambitions all against the backdrop of a Renaissance Faire.

A spectacular capture of the Renaissance fair community. An unlikely family with all of the fantasy and reality of work and friendship. Highly entertaining and well done!

In Faire, Annette Storckman examines, through a Renaissance Faire, the excitement of fresh love, the devastation of love lost, and the consequences of lost innocence, all the while leaving us breathless from laughter in a way that one rarely experiences in theatre. All while never losing sight of her characters’ humanity. With her keen eye, Annette sees each of her characters down to their very souls, and she never trades their complexity for a quick laugh. Instead, she finds boundless joy in how they, like us, try and fail, fall and get up, no matter how ridiculous getting up feels.

A delightful workplace comedy, and a very honest play about jealousy. You know how in Grey's Anatomy they're all screwing each other and you're like "oh my God, you guys are doctors, can you focus on your jobs?" Well, these characters work at a Ren-Fair, and we all know Ren-Fair people are super horny.
