YOU: A Woman, Thirties. Passionate about her work. Since the incidents discussed in the play, has trouble trusting people including herself. Has trouble sleeping. Dark sense of humor.

WOMAN: A Woman, Thirties, plays ROOMMATE and PROSECUTOR. Can also assist with ALLIGATOR.

ROOMMATE: Bubbly, well-intentioned but focused on herself.

PROSECUTOR: Good at her job, which requires a mixture of warmth and connection. Persistent but never raises her voice.

MAN: A Man, Caucasian, Thirties, plays STUDENT, SELLER, DATE, ALLIGATOR.

STUDENT: Naïve, a bit of a bro.

SELLER: Friendly, loving husband and father. Genuinely wants to help.

DATE: Charming, in another world he and YOU would hit it off.

ALLIGATOR: A mix of nightmare and reality. As ALLIGATOR transforms into the EX, he holds both violence and loving caring boyfriend.

*A note on casting: While the roles of YOU and WOMAN can be any race or ethnicity, MAN must be Caucasian. Under no circumstances should this ever be an all-White cast. Cast diversely but consciously.
