A powerful play following the journey of youth and tragedy that asks questions about how we cope in the aftermath as we look at the sequence of events. Well done.

"(Fireworks) burst into the world with all that wonder and beauty and excitement, and then they crackle away, just as quickly as they came, and no one can pin them down." Wow, what a beautiful, chilling portrayal of how young love can begin so innocently until, little by little, it can turn dangerous without anyone seeing it coming. Puckett weaves between anger and love, grief and happiness, past and present all while expertly exploring the "what now?" of tragedy while embracing how no one has the answers. A remarkable piece of writing that will stay with me forever. I promise.

A haunting play about loss and the bits and piece of life that, when added together, can equal tragedy. I appreciate the care given to each of the characters, no one is a demon, and the attention given to the aftermath. We're so often shown tragedy from one side, from the leading up to, or the point of view of the victim, but Ramirez Puckett gives us an all encompassing hard look from all sides. Really well done.
