A powerful play following the journey of youth and tragedy that asks questions about how we cope in the aftermath as we look at the sequence of events. Well done.

A haunting play about loss and the bits and piece of life that, when added together, can equal tragedy. I appreciate the care given to each of the characters, no one is a demon, and the attention given to the aftermath. We're so often shown tragedy from one side, from the leading up to, or the point of view of the victim, but Ramirez Puckett gives us an all encompassing hard look from all sides. Really well done.

The father's line to his daughter: "I just want to know-need to know that I gave you every tool to keep yourself safe" is a line that really resonated with me. For a play that deals with the death of a young person and physical and emotional abuse, this play is not afraid to explore how all the characters feel culpable in this tragedy. This is a play about hindsight and small gestures with large consequences.
