Is it really better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all? Or is it better to find a pharmaceutical remedy?

Believers is an apocalyptic romantic comedy inspired by the Grimms fairy tale The Frog King.

The world seems poised on the brink of environmental collapse. Inside a remote pharmaceutical lab, researcher Rockwell Wise is bent on creating a love vaccine to keep his heart safe. His ex-lover, drug developer Grace Wright, hungers to create a love potion to rejuvenate our romance-starved planet. When Grace is hired to lead Rocky's development team in the midst of a company crisis, they become locked in a struggle over love and drugs --- with unexpected side effects.

Part romantic comedy, part pharmaceutical satire, part sci-fi, this play asks questions about love, drugs, and the side effects of both.

Can we really protect ourselves from love? Can a vaccine keep us safe? A wonderful comedy that's a lot of fun with lessons to teach. Well done!

Right from the top of the play, you are engaged by the snap, crackle and pop of the dialogue and it only gets better. With equal parts of sci fi, satire, and a fairy tale (with some insane Biblical passages thrown in for good measure), this is screwball comedy done to the hilt. And those muskrats, and locusts, and frogs- oh my! Take a walk on the zany side and let this play into your life. Nutty and delicious.

What seems to be a loopy satire of pharmaceutical companies with some all-too-believable ramifications, turns into a riff on The Frog Prince tale and love you can't cure even with a vaccine. Over the top fun, snappy jokes and strong women.
