In Darfur inaugurated the Public’s Lab series in April 2007 for a sold out three week run, and filled to capacity a staged reading at the 1800-seat Delacorte Theater on July 9th, 2007, the first event of its kind for a play by a woman.

Timely and timeless, immediate and historical. Brutal and necessary, but is able to breathe human life beyond just the necessity of storytelling.

Winter Miller grabs you by the jugular right from the start, and she doesn't let go. Politics and outrage aside (and there are plenty of both here – justifiably so), it's the humanity with which Miller infuses this play that makes it such a gripping, intensely theatrical, and NECESSARY work of art. An infuriating, poignant, heartbreaking, stunning, necessary work of art.

An incredibly important piece taking us inside a humanitarian crisis for survival from the various perspectives in the trenches. Gripping, heartfelt and well done.
