Note: While the story takes place in modern times, this play is set against the backdrop of the real-life school fire that claimed 172 students and 2 teachers in 1908.
Faith - F / 26-30. Estranged from her father. Middle School teacher using humor to treat the pain of her losing her fiancé to COVID. Irritated that her father died leaving her to step up.
Grace -- F / 20-70. Teacher who died in the fire. As the plot indicates the dead can be any age they prefer while waiting to 'move on,' the actress need only be an adult.
Walter -- M / 20-70 Student who died in the fire at age 15 and has remained at the cemetery still trying to help his fellow students to move on.
Lucas -- M/ teenager or adult who looks young. Teenage paperboy who lives in the neighborhood.
Niles -- M / Any age. Died in the fire trying to save his brother.
