When Adele meets Vincent, a young musician with face blindness, it could not come at a worse time. She’s dropped out of law school to care for her father, who after an accident is now beginning to display signs of dementia. And yet, despite all this, she and Vincent begin to slip in the weird and mystifying and wonderful and terrifying process of falling in love. As their relationship develops and deepens, her father’s condition begins to get worse, and suddenly Adele finds herself surrounded by people who, despite knowing her deeply, cannot recognize her. Will Adele and Vincent figure out a way to find each other, see each other, make a life together, and discover how not to be alone?

A fascinating exploration of love and it's ability to help us see and know each other. The power to make us feel we exist and matter beautifully shown. A moving and touching exploration of theory!

Foregrounding a seldom-discussed brain disorder, the play, in its gentle and unassuming way, takes a battering ram to any cynical notion of love being a mere habit of association. Capodicasa submits a powerful and persuasive argument that beauty transcends the eye of the beholder, and that in our visually jaded culture it is still conceivable to love each other through spirit. Funny, thoughtful, tender, sad, and rendered with a singularly poetical voice, "You Remind Me Of You" reassures that there are still uncharted territories in the theatre as well as writers creative and capable enough of navigating them.

My introduction to Matthew's work. A charming, quirky and unique play. I loved every minute.
