Amandine is a singular love story, inspired by the memoirs of Herculine Barbin, a 19th century intersex person who was raised a girl and died a man. Amandine is born intersex and raised as a girl in the most traditional and cloistered of settings, Catholic school. She is smart, ambitious and unlike the other girls.
