Mal travels to India to pick up her estranged twin sister Faye’s ashes. She is mistaken for her sister by Faye’s fiancé, Nikhil, who has not yet learned of Faye’s death. As weeks pass, Mal remains closed off, while Nikhil tries to connect with her. Faye shows up in Nebraska, alive and searching for Mal. She is confronted with the implications of her long absence and is paralyzed by the responsibilities Mal has borne. Faye makes several rash decisions, including pulling her unstable father out of the mental home. Mal goes into a tailspin when she learns that her father is missing and she and Nikhil race back to the States to find him. As the twins finally confront each other, the effects on their father and their future is uncertain.

FAYE - Female, late 20s. Any ethnicity. Mal’s identical twin, in appearances only.
DAD - Male, early 50s. Any ethnicity. Mal and Faye’s Father. He lives in a mental home.
MATT - Male, late 20s. Any ethnicity. Handsome.
MOM - Female, Indian. Late 40s. Mal and Faye’s Mother. NOTE: We see the Mom also as the MAID and later as the DOCTOR. The same person must play these three characters, as she transforms from these other characters into the Mom within the scene.
