REACH

Somewhere in the middle of the desert lies the mysterious Reach Motel. It's the kind of place you go where no one can find you... or at least you hope so. Ari has come here to escape her family, and Claus to escape a 20th-century German expressionist poet turned intergalactic time travelling bounty hunter. Maybe both of them might learn something along the way... or maybe nothing at all.

The absurdity here is light-handed and charming, making this short script a fun, feel-good romp.

Twilight Zone has met its match. Absurd, silly, sci-fi, cosplay - nothing is sacred here. And if you reach the Reach Motel - don’t over-reach. You may wind up with a room with a possum or these characters. Zany, nonsensical fun.

Emmett and Samuel Hanly have created a short play that rises in tension and absurdity, as colorful characters collide, matching wits and superpowers with a wry and inscrutable desk manager in a seedy motel in the middle of nowhere; worth a read and a recommendation, "Reach" is a divine comedy.
