These monologues are so well-written and perfectly paired by Rachael Carnes. They deftly explore the current pandemic as well as the aftermath with both humor and sharp awareness. This is also an exciting play to mount as the character of Julia is written for different actors playing the same role, and mirrors so beautifully the evolution of the different points in time.

I so enjoyed reading this collection of monologues. The dialogue was a wild ride and captured a sprawling range of significant moments with tremendous wit that hit its mark with artful precision. Ms. Carnes created a fantastic piece for the female voice, demonstrating great care for Julia who, like so many others who live life through a maternal lens, carries a hefty load.

This play captures so many aspects of what we've been through in the first months of the pandemic. The "before we knew," the "what will this mean," and the heartbreak of what we now know it's done to so many. Funny, dark, and ultimately heartbreaking.
