FLIGHT FRIGHT (a 10 minute comedy)

Three mature friends have gathered for coffee and a discussion of Judy's expected new grandson. After joking about how Judy will get to Denver to see the baby being born, she receives a phone call that her son has been in a serious accident. Using game playing, her friends try to talk Judy, who is afraid of planes, into flying out to be with him.

    A great scene for performers that can do well with comedy! This would be very enjoyable to watch and gives all three something fun to do and say. I love the subtle but realistic humor. "Why does she want to smell her watch?" had me laughing out loud. Well done!

    If you’re looking for a play that gives mature actresses a chance to do physical comedy, your options a pretty limited. Luckily, there’s this little gem by Marj O’Neill-Butler. When aerophobic Judy needs to travel cross-country for a family emergency, her friends attempt to help her overcome her fear of flying with an impromptu airplane crash simulation. I’d love to see this performed!
