Comic self-absorption meets poignant longing in this compelling look at some aspects of motherhood. Lou masks her secret from Heather, which makes the truth she shares with her husband all the more shattering.

Jeni Mahoney writes a compelling interaction between two young mothers that swells and pays off in the end in an engaging way that will make most parents in the audience stop and think. Her characters are layered, and this script would set up actors to make great storytelling choices that would indeed make this a memorable production. Enjoyed it greatly.

What a beautiful play! Highly relatable, hugely realistic, and the question at its center kept pressing into me (like an elbow in my gut or a head butting up against my bladder) until it is answered in the end - oof! Shut my breeding mouth! Running in Circles Screaming makes me think twice.

An absolutely beautiful, subtle play about the unspoken struggles of navigating the world of parenting (or desperately wishing you could). The perfect piece to inject some perspective into those lucky enough to call themselves parents without preachiness or pretention.

Mahoney hands us the joys, fears, and sorrows of parenthood and it’s - complicated. With little sentiment and a lot of love, the play gives us what we wish for, be careful what you wish for and wishful thinking in a scant ten minutes. Thoughtful, moving, and a home run in exploring some truths.
