Love this play. "A 3D Painting" full of hope, imagination, and stardust.

A beautiful play about the difficulty of loss and the spirit's place in the great cosmos as well as ours while we are still living. Great work!

An achingly tender play about loss, despair, hope, and love... and stars. Haas has a delicate touch here, which gives the play even more depth and feeling. It’s an absolutely beautiful work.

A beautiful, beautiful play about a young girl's search for her dead father, helped by her agoraphobic aunt, a long dead Arctic explorer, and the ever present stars. Claudia Haas knows how to take the small, ordinary space of a New York apartment and turn it into something as vast as an unexplored universe. Perfect for young audiences, but really, for audiences of any age.

Haas has done it again. A powerful show for audiences of any age, but I could really see the teen crowd connecting with this. Perfect play on grief--the beauty that comes in the pain of missing someone. There is so much in this play--there is science and education, there is the fanciful and the strange, there is the past and the present and the future. This play is pure magic and to see it on stage would be magnificent. A play full of hope with fully fleshed out characters and a magnificent heart. Well done, Haas. Highly recommended.

A beautiful, stirring piece for young audiences, BOUND BY STARDUST guides Miranda and the audience through the frigid landscape of grief and memory. Combining history, science, and magic, Haas creates a world full of possibility and transformation.

  • Stephen Kaplan: And the Universe Didn't Blink

A lovely piece that finds the emotions within science and how connected all humanity is by our longing for things lost. The writing is a perfect blend of both poetic and grounded in reality and I felt myself deeply rooted in the desires of the characters. Touching and inspiring and accessible to all audiences.

There is so much in this play to recommend it - wonderful characters I care about, fascinating story with history and science and the beauty of the distant parts of the world, distance as a thing between people and how to close that distance, loss as too big to fathom and how to begin to manage that loss, change and transformation and beautiful theatrical moments! What a gift Haas has!

A lovely piece that blends adventure, fantasy and science. Reminded me in the very best way Of Madeline L'Engle's work. I found the idea of suddenly standing in the snow, while still inside a New York apartment delightful. The heroine is bright and capable, the best kind of role model for a little girl. I also liked that the story wasn't wrapped up into a nice bow. These felt like real people going through difficult circumstances.
