Walker puts a microscope on the urban scene, particularly on homelessness
The way in which people are reduced to base instinct in our public places is spotlighted well. Adding ecological concerns adds to the poignancy of this short play.

Lack of empathy is a bigger killer than any physical injury. Stephanie Alison Walker perfectly illustrates this with a tale of 2 characters finding the perfect spot until a third shows up in dire straits and a decision needs to be made. To help or hoard? THAT is the question here. And by presenting the characters as... different than you think at first, it presents an interesting test of empathy on the part of the audience as well. Some will want to reach out and others, they might not even be bothered to drop a little extra popcorn.

Stephanie Alison Walker's HOMER is a chilling example of how humans will go against morality to survive in a world where good karma isn't always guaranteed.

Everyone should have a sporting chance but when the odds are loaded against a wandering human by at least two to one, it’s a harsh world as arbitrary as scattered popcorn at a baseball game. An intriguing, brave three hander which delves into our pitilessly jealous baser & basic instincts as the world & its weather collapses in on itself.

Wow. Wow. WOW! Does this piece pack a punch. It really does. The characters strike a wonderful contrast between each other. It’s interesting how you can have a crisis-something tramautizing and you get three different reactions. Very strong, polished piece.

Three parties try to navigate each other and make their choices in this rich, layered play. Very well done.

Touching and funny. One of those plays that has it all...in less than 10 minutes. Well done. I'd love to see HOMER staged somewhere.

A play that leaves you wondering what is going on and has you reading again and again taking new ideas and interpretations with each fresh look. Walker creates a world that is a triple threat; it is immensely rewarding as a read, and immensely rewarding to act in, as it would be direct. I've read it now three times and will probably read it again. Highly recommend this really great play.

HOMER has tremendous depth for a ten-minute play. Walker gives us three distinct and developed characters in a hopeless situation. It has moments of humor, and moments of painful misery. Really well done.
