LOVE this fabulously theatrical play about the ways in which we are all complicit in the bloodshed in the Middle East. Skillman skillfully provides the artists' point of view, the desire to expose the truth, and then she complicates this with reality (in particular the reality of media). A very moving story of love, trauma and loss that can touch all of us and help us to face how we continue to allow our country to foment and perpetuate heinous crimes for our comforts. Beautifully done!

It is a deft exploration on how youthful ideologies yearn to create a better world, but invariably face high-stakes challenges. It also shows how media--in this case filmmaking--influences the narrative, and how the result may be searingly unexpected. A great play for an ensemble cast looking to dig into rich material.
