  • Cheryl Bear: Let Down Your Hair

A very fun political comedy taking on sex education and the presidential race with sheer hilarity! Well done.

  • Kenneth Jones: Let Down Your Hair

Matt Bennett’s deliciously fractured fairy tale LET DOWN YOUR HAIR is a ferociously absurd political comedy that reimagines Rapunzel’s mother as running for president while micromanaging her daughter’s sex education. The play has the fury and humor of Christopher Durang’s best plays, and manages to be specific about a political moment and universal about the difficult twists and turns of parenting and being parented.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Let Down Your Hair

Hilarious, dark, sensual, and lyric, LET DOWN YOUR HAIR is a wonderful piece of story telling that weaves together fairy tales with modern culture and politics in a beautiful and seamless story. The language is rich and the visuals and theatricality of this play are so exciting. Quick, someone produce this play so that I can see it!
