1980 is a wonderful and complex comedy. Part political, part office comedy, part coming of age, it perfectly evokes the era, and the struggles of working for a political campaign. It’s also well plotted, with memorable characters, sharp, laugh out loud dialogue, and a plenty of plot surprises.

A terrific political play capturing the emotional roller coaster attached to the hope for a long short candidate to win the office against all odds. Well done!

I absolutely love this play, and as an actress, am drawn to every role. Witty, funny, and heartbreaking, this piece even ends with one of my favorite moments I've ever read for the stage. Brava!

A lovely coming of age story filled with humor, heart, and cold reality. I tried not to substitute Jill Stein for John Anderson as I read and the result was a thoroughly enjoyable read about managing discovery, dreams, and disappointment. Excellent writing.

This is a wry and relevant play that is ideal for election-year production. With its finely-drawn and vivid characters, and with a lot of humor, it's engaging throughout. Highly recommend.

A fitting parable for our times, reflecting upon that greatest of American traditions, believing in a loser. Each of four characters believe in the underdog, and each for their own reasons, and how they deal with disappointment and disillusionment make up the powerful and devastating thrust of the narrative. It's a great read, and will make an excellent period piece with a contemporary message.
