Warm, moving, excellently paced and structured. I'm usually not a fan of unlikely friendship stories but this one really hit me in the feels. What really impressed me is that I almost didn't even realize it was a two-hander because it was that compelling and rich. So well done.

An excellent examination of what holds value for us and the relationship between these two is very fun. Well done!

A fun and thoughtful piece that is engaging from the start and zooms by so fast it's over before you know it. An excellent example of how to do a two-hander right, I never wanted for other characters because Danny and Marlowe are just fun to watch together, even when they're at odds.

Interesting, hilarious, and well worth a read.

A small, nuanced, and keenly observed piece about two incredibly drawn characters. The pacing of this piece is impeccable, as is its structure. I was immediately drawn in and entertained by Marlowe and Danny, intrigued where their partnership would go, and was surprised, delighted, saddened etc. (all the good emotions) once we were on the journey. Couldn't put it down! I also appreciate how theatrical the piece is for a play that takes place on, theoretically, a very small footprint onstage. I seriously hope to see a production of this soon!

Thoughtful and funny, heartfelt with a generous soul and meaningful exploration of ideas - the writer deftly weaves a surprising story that entertains as it examines. Two hander plays are difficult but this writer navigates tricky terrain with ease, and it feels like a full evening of theater. The nuanced characters stay with us long after the curtain goes down, and push us to question the assumptions we make about those in our community that we have overlooked or not bothered to get to know. Cannot wait to see this in production!

I truly love plays that go places I never saw coming. This 2 hander was a pleasure to read with its complex characters and sharp dialogue. So glad that this play got picked to be developed at PlayPenn!!

I love this play; it's one of my favorite two handers. Consistently engaging, this play captured me and wouldn't let me go.
