Here, White deftly--and with great humor and theatricality--juxtaposes all that fell into that category in the pre-moon landing days with what defies belief and acceptance in today's world. And then he reminds us that it's been fifty years since the moon landing, and we're still still unwilling to think beyond what we know.

David Lee White takes the abnormal and strange masterfully in his hands to make what could be an otherwise mundane moment of history (and subject matter) something full of life and wonder. Leave it to David Lee White to take three things I hate - physics, cults and sex talk in public - and turn it into an irresistible play chocked full of friendship, laughs and enlightenment. Slyly funny and warmly irreverent, I’ve seen a number of productions of White’s plays at Passage Theatre and I wish he was produced more. His work always provides a safe and generous space to laugh and question our society’s ideas of “norms,” and gives my husband and I something to discuss for weeks to come.

This play is charming and strange (in the best way imaginable) and manages to strike a balance between the quotidian and the cosmic. It turns a historical moment into something that is epic and fantastic in scope, and asks its audiences to leave their definitions of "normal" at the door.

David has taken an unusual moment in history and made it into a fantastical, theatrical journey. His sharp humor and empathy for all of his characters keep the story grounded - but David's
imagination lets an audience fly.

A very smart, and hilarious play about the conflict between "normalcy" and the belief in the fantastical and extraordinary. Highly theatrical, whimsical, and thought provoking. This is exactly the kind of play that I want to see.
