  • Rachael Carnes: The Ferberizing of Coral

Perfection! This fabulous ten-minute play encapsulates so much of the new parent angst, the worry, the FEAR that — We're probably just messing our kids up. Such a smart premise, and the Baby Monitor as time portal is a brilliant piece of theatricality.

  • Chris Gacinski: The Ferberizing of Coral

Flynn’s widely creative “The Ferberizing of Coral” is not only comedic, it possesses a rich plot that disregards the concept of time. We watch this child grow up before our eyes, displaying the stress of parenting and how inexperience only fuels this stress. An amazing piece that deserves the recognition it has received.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Ferberizing of Coral

Very imaginative as well as funny, but it's not just funny - a whole heap of assumptions comes into play - and the play really takes a look at a lot of societal ideas about parenting and development and it's dark, and it's also funny! Wonderfully written!

Such a clever premise. This play captures a true feeling through a very theatrical structure. It's a fun read and would surely be fun to watch as well!

Smartly drawn, inventive, and very, very funny.

  • Stephen Spotswood: The Ferberizing of Coral

Incredibly funny, with the kind of tight pacing that makes for a great 10-minute play. Unpacks a world of anxiety, not just about being parents but about adulthood in general, in a simple, smart way that seamlessly blends light comedy and heavy subject matter.

  • Lee R. Lawing: The Ferberizing of Coral

Such a funny and perfect play that would resonate with any new sleep deprived parent but beyond that just resonate with any adult thinking they know better than their own parents because we all feel the things must always be better in the now than they were back in the day. It’s such a great set up without one false word, note or cry!

This ten minute play is pure delight. It's sweet and funny and simple and I'm pretty sure there isn't a set of parents alive who wouldn't feel this hit them in a deep, deep place even while they chuckle. This is such a great exploration of two individuals crossing into adulthood and all of its uncertainties while unpacking the feeling that they are the only adults with certainty. Funny and relevant, this play is a winner.

  • Asher Wyndham: The Ferberizing of Coral

This play is hee-larious from start to finish, no dull moment. It's bonkers, but it's got a big heart -- a message for all new parents (I'm not going to say what it is) that needs repeating. The play is also warning for those who are deciding to be parents or not -- yeah, don't do it, not worth it -- all that crying. This is a great play where sound design influences the drama and creates a spectacle that you've never seen before. A director and the two actors will have a lot of fun with this. PRODUCE THIS!

I saw this piece produced as part of the Source Festival in 2016, and it is absolutely hilarious! The premise is both absurd and totally relatable, and the characters are hysterical (in more ways than one).
