The WRITER. Male. A New Yorker. Late 30s to early 40s. A working writer who recorded interviews with many people in New York following the 9/11 attacks.

CHORUS #1. Male, late 20s to early 40s. This actor plays TOM, a graphic designer working on the 89th floor of Tower 1; the first plane to strike the towers impacted four stories over his head. Also plays VINCENT.

CHORUS #2. Male, late 20s to mid 30s. Ideally, the actor cast in this part could pass for Latino and Middle Eastern. This actor plays GABRIEL, a security guard assigned to the mall under both towers. Extroverted. A rapid-fire speaker whose voice has a streetwise cadence. Also plays OMAR, a New Yorker.

CHORUS #3. Female, early 40s to late 50s. This actor plays NANCY, a 16-year employee of a securities firm on the 44th floor of Tower 1. Also plays JESSICA, a New Yorker.

CHORUS #4. Female, late 20s to mid 30s. This actor plays FLORENCE, who was 5 months pregnant while working a new job on the 55th floor of Tower 2 on 9/11. Also plays the REGGAE SINGER, ELLEN, and BOBBIE.

CHORUS #5. Male, late 50s to early 60s. This actor plays JAN (pronounced 'YANN'), a window washer assigned to Tower 1 who is soft-spoken, unassuming, and calm; he is from Poland but his mother tongue is Ukrainian. Actors can use a soft accent. Also plays the MAYOR and the TV ANCHOR.

CHORUS #6. Male, mid 30s to mid 40s. This actor plays SAL, an NYPD firefighter who reported for duty on 9/11. Also plays PATRICK and the BIG DUDE.

CHORUS #7. Female, early 20s to early 30s. This actor plays ANNA, a reporter for The New York Times. Also plays NICOLE.
