Biting. Chilling. A dark ride that resonates so much in the moment we're in right now.

Wildly funny, kinetic, and absolutely harrowing, Hitler's Tasters is a sharp shock of a play that will stick with you. I saw it last year Off-Broadway and it has certainly stuck with me: it continues to resonate with its themes about complicity, complacency, passionate devotion that curdles into something else, and society's treatment - then and now - of young women as disposable. On top of all that, it's also an astoundingly good showcase for young actresses. Colleges, and even high schools -- get on this. Entertaining and powerful stuff.

The mixture of the mundane and personal and the horrifying and world-changing is what makes this script so effectively chilling and funny at the same time. As we get wrapped up in the selfies and interpersonal drama between the characters, we can never forget the atrocities happening just offstage. I’m sure this would make for a tense and thought-provoking evening of theatre!

This is such an exciting, yet chilling, play - most exciting in its most disturbing moments, and most disturbing in its most "normal" moments of young womanhood somehow. I have to admit that I was a little wary of reading this play because of its proximity to Hitler, but I found it to be really thoughtful and humanizing of the girls, without humanizing him, which I appreciated. "Hitler's Tasters" made me think in a surprising new way.

We had the great pleasure of producing this play at IRT Theater (NYC), 59E59 Theater (NYC) and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as supporting the presentation of our production at North Shore Performing Arts Center (Chicago) & Electric Lodge (LA). Hands down, this is one of our company's most successful shows to date, and that is because the writing smartly blends comedy with pathos in a way that shocks the audience. Laughter turns to stunned silence in an instant, and the anachronistic nature of the writing adds a powerful punch. Bonus: Michelle is a dream to work with.

This play is smart, funny, and surprisingly moving. The intentional use of anachronisms was a brilliant way to connect a story from WWII with contemporary human behavior. This is an excellent play for ensembles.

I saw this play at North Shore Performing Arts center on July 12th, 2019. This play has a phenomenal premise, and manages to overcome some of it's more shocking elements to be both funny and endearing. I think most surprising was how I thought I was able to separate myself from these characters and label them as awful people, until circumstances and suddenly I found myself scared for their lives. Effective, moving and funny!

This play was a tremendous success in its premiere at Centenary Stage. Audiences were moved and entertained and so compelled to tell us so after each performance.
