"The Anxiety of a Knuckleball Before the Plate" is a sweet romantic comedy with wonderful physical theatre possibilities. Love the title. Lots of fun.

A unique, quirky little play about a knuckleball. Yes, from the perspective of the baseball! If you're a baseball fan you'll get it. And if you're not? I think you're going to enjoy the ride all the same.

I just need to yell it once, so please humor me -- I LOVE THIS PLAY!!!! Thank you and back to the recommendation: I'm already a huge fan of Stubbles clever and creative style of writing but this piece is a fantastic example of the expertise he brings to his plays. Not to mention how uniquely theatrical it is! Oh, and did I mention it's endearing too? This play is brilliant and would very clearly be an audience favorite at any festival it was produced at. In short...produce it!

I'm a baseball fan, but you don't have to love baseball to love this play. Bryan Stubbles delights us with his imagination and wacky sense of humor. The physicality afforded in this play should give all pure joy. I'm smiling just thinking about the knuckleball dance.

Stubbles has a unique writing style--and a wonderfully unique sense of a humor. The premise of the piece is wacky--and the execution is even more wacky fun. The physical humor of this piece gives plenty of room for actors to shine--and the end is the kind of end that leaves the audience with a gut aching from laughter.

I'm always a sucker for plays that give voices to inanimate objects (and in this case elements too). Lots of opportunity for movement, imagination, and fun.

A gem of an inanimate object play. Poetry in motion. Captures an American pastime from the POV of a key element. A killer ending, made me laugh out loud. Stubbles at his best. Truly good stuff.
