Such a fun, physical play with plenty of room for the three actors to have a ball! Bravo.

Some things never get old - like the moon - or the way Rand Higbee teases out the premise for MOON IN A BARREL. This comic triumph of wit and physical humor serves as inspiration - for the entertainer in me - to write plays for a wide age-range with terrific humor accessible to all. I’ve read it laughing and picturing a whole auditorium breaking up. Excellent.

What a fun short this is! There's humor in the language and the situation, but there's a lot of opportunity for physical comedy as well, which isn't often the case in plays I read. This play is a real gift for a trio of comedic actors!

"Moon in a Barrel" is a cute comedy with all the charm of older comedies like "Green Acres" and "The Beverly Hillbillies." What lunacy to catch the moon in a barrel, but the excitement of Faye and Hermann almost makes you wish that they really did somehow capture a celestial body. Rand Higbee's delightful comedy gives a lot of opportunity for actors to play into the folky farce. Reading this play has given me a homey feeling and a longing for simpler times.

Such a sweet and funny fable that will leave you smiling from ear to ear!!

Charming and whimsical, with plenty of opportunities for physical slapstick and conflict of character - this short play would be a lovely addition to an evening of folk tales, or a collection of plays with family friendly humor to delight all ages.

This is a gorgeous short play. The opportunities it gives its actors to play are priceless.

Higbee's charming folktale will delight adults and children alike.

A modern fairytale designed to dazzle and delight the child in all of us. Higbee adds some old-fashioned slapstick for good measure, and the result is 10 minutes of fantasy and fun. Loved it!

Delightful, fun and playful, Moon in a Barrel forces us to relax and enjoy some old-time silliness for a spell. I'm sad I missed the reading of this one at the Midwest Dramatists Conference.
