Great potential for movement geeks like me, and strong story underneath it all

One of my favorite pieces I've read on here. A unique and powerful playwright that captures the struggles of identity and power with a fresh perspective. It was a “can’t put this down” kind of play. Would love to see this produced. Can’t wait to read more from the author.

Loved reading this and picturing it. Highly theatrical, delightful characters. The sparse dialogue perfectly underscores the play's magic. A wodnerful design challenge - would love to see this produced!

Grotesque and beautiful, Pazniokas's piece is an amazing commentary on the self, the body, and the effects of power. This play lives in a stunningly clear world that invites just the right amount of imagination in its design without Pazniokas losing control over the overall story. It's really wonderful and I deeply hope to see it someday.

This is a fabulous script that I hope to see produced! A production would have such fun bringing the magic and characters to life. The juxtapositions and ideas dealing with nature and identity are wonderful to chew on. Great work!

Wholly original work that explores identity in a super theatrical way that I couldn't have possibly dreamed up! I love the coexistence of gruesomeness and hilarity and poignancy. The fabulistic/parable-like quality also sets the piece apart, and the language feels spare and lyrical while the world is so sumptuously defined. How I'd love to see a creative production company tackle this piece!

The plays of Francesca Pazniokas have been one of my favorite recent discoveries on NPX. Her work is macabre, grotesque, funny, and always moving in unexpected directions. I loved the sort of dark fairytale vibe of this play, and I appreciate how it doesn't prescribe how to pull it off, leaving it completely in the minds of the reader or the company producing it.

An incredibly imaginative exploration of human and animal that is so gorgeous in it's construction. Magical!

Magical, macabre, punk rock. It made me think of FREAKS, Tim Burton, The Threepenny Opera, and nods to other very dark fairytales. So, so lovely.

I absolutely love the magic in this play. It's a story that feels so simple yet so complex. Pazniokas' gift of world building is on full display here. This is a gruesome at times tale about identity and finding one's place that ends in perfectly heartwarming fashion.
