A unique take on a coming-of-age story full of interesting characters and indelible images, the BMLB would give adventurous actors, directors, and designers plenty of opportunities to try out some new tricks.

Be my little baby has truly nuanced characters that were a blast to bring to life as a director. Strange, quirky, endearing, and bold are some of the words I would use to describe it. While some of the dialogue is literally raving about baked beans, it's just a cover for urgent, heartfelt drama. Make a point to read this one--the astral projection alone is worth it.

This is such a fun script and contains elements you rarely ever see in plays. Imaginative, relatable and just a little weird in a very good way. Highly recommend.

A quirky, deft, and funny play that both celebrates and investigates the myth of the American cowboy, both how it empowers some while devaluing others (specifically women). At the same time, it's a touching coming-of-age story about how one teenage boy finds the strength to stand up for himself and those he loves while grieving for his father. The piece is also unabashedly theatrical--I was particularly struck by the astral projection scenes. I can see actors and designers having a blast with this play.

be my little baby is an awesome and delightfully off kilter piece of theatre complete with a hero to root for and a villain that makes you uncomfortably twitchy. If you like cowboys, pancakes and a cast of quirky fun characters, check this one out!
